Achilles

Aion FX from Des Moines, IA has helped guitarists build studio-quality effects since 2011. Founded by Brian Wampler protégé Kevin Beller, they specialize in meticulously documented PCB recreations of classic and boutique circuits.

The Achilles is a direct clone of the Analogman Prince of Tone, itself a single-channel adaptation of the legendary King of Tone. The circuit uses a modified Marshall Bluesbreaker topology with carefully selected clipping options and component values optimized for smooth, amp-like breakup.

The PCB features gold-plated pads, Molex-style wire assemblies, and compatibility with Disaster Area Designs enclosures. Unlike generic clones, Aion FX boards include extensive documentation and design notes for builders at all experience levels.
