Blackstar is a British amp company founded in 2007 by former Marshall engineers. Their pedal lines bring amplifier expertise to stompbox format with professional-grade features. The Dept. 10 AMPED 1 puts real valve tone in a pedalboard-friendly format. Using an actual 12AX7 preamp tube and Blackstar s proprietary power amp voicing, it captures the response and harmonics of a 6L6-based amp. Three voices provide American clean, crunch, and high-gain tones. The reactive speaker simulation means you can go direct to PA or recording interface with amp-like feel. USB connectivity enables recording and firmware updates.
