P2P Buzz Tone
Point-to-point Buzz Tone recreation with authentic vintage buzzy character.
BLAMMO! Electronics handbuilds pedals in Portland, Oregon, specializing in faithful recreations of vintage fuzz circuits with modern reliability features.
The P2P Buzz Tone is a point-to-point hand-wired recreation of the 1966 Jordan Boss Tone in stompbox format, built on a custom turret board. It features an asymmetrical clipping diode setup that produces more even-order harmonics, compression, and bite compared to the original's symmetrical diode arrangement.
The circuit delivers a more mid-focused honk and grimy texture than typical two-transistor fuzz designs. It cleans up like a Fuzz Face when rolling back the guitar's volume knob but without the wooliness. Built with Vishay axial capacitors, carbon composition resistors, and a hand-stamped OEM-style faceplate in an army green 125B enclosure with top-mounted jacks. Features true bypass switching, runs on 9V battery or standard 2.1mm center-negative DC supply, and draws only 3mA.
