The FS-5U is a momentary (unlatching) footswitch that sends a signal only while pressed. The most common use is tap tempo for Boss delay pedals.
Momentary operation: active only while the switch is held down. Perfect for tap tempo, where you press the switch rhythmically to set the delay time. Also used for momentary effects engagement or other press-and-hold functions.
Single footswitch with TRS output. No power required. The 'U' stands for unlatching (momentary), distinguishing it from the latching FS-5L.
The standard Boss tap tempo footswitch. Most Boss delays with external tap tempo use the FS-5U. Simple, reliable, and essential for delay users who want to tap in their tempo.
