The GM-800 is Boss's dedicated guitar-to-MIDI synthesizer module, converting guitar signals into MIDI data and producing General MIDI-compatible sounds internally. It bridges the gap between guitar playing and synthesizer sound design.
GM-compatible sound engine produces a full range of synthesizer tones triggered by guitar input. MIDI output sends note data to external synthesizers, DAWs, or sound modules. GK-compatible 13-pin input enables per-string tracking for the most accurate pitch detection. Standard 1/4-inch input works with reduced polyphonic capability.
Comprehensive parameter controls for sound selection and editing. Multiple outputs for routing synth and guitar signals independently. At 500mA it draws significant power for the onboard sound engine and processing.
