GT-8 Guitar Effects Processor

The GT-8 was Boss's flagship multi-effects processor of the mid-2000s, offering COSM amp modeling, comprehensive effects, and deep editing in a floor unit format with expression pedal.

COSM amp models recreate classic amplifier tones. The effects section covers every standard category: overdrive, distortion, delay, reverb, chorus, phaser, flanger, tremolo, and more. Channel memory system stores complete rig setups. The built-in expression pedal controls parameters in real time.

Extensive knob-and-button interface with display. Multiple footswitches for patch selection, effects bypass, and expression pedal. USB for patch editing via computer.

The GT-8 represented Boss's pre-AIRD approach to amp modeling and multi-effects. It was the top of their floor unit lineup before the GT-10 and eventually the GT-1000 brought updated processing.
