The SYB-5 Bass Synthesizer updates the SYB-3 with improved tracking and additional synth modes. The same concept applies: bass guitar triggers synthesizer sounds in real time, with a filter section for sound design.
Eleven synth types with improved tracking accuracy over the SYB-3. Internal wave modes use the bass signal to trigger synth oscillators. External modes process the bass signal through the filter section. A Hold function sustains a synth note indefinitely.
Synth type, Cutoff, Resonance, Decay, and Sensitivity controls. At 76mA it matches the SYB-3. The tracking improvements make faster passages more reliable. Expression pedal input enables real-time filter sweeps.
The SYB-5 is the refined version of the bass synth concept. Better tracking and the expression pedal input make it more usable in live performance than the SYB-3.
