AC-Tone

Carl Martin is a Danish effects company renowned for professional-quality pedals. The AC-Tone Single Channel captures the chimey, top-boosted character of classic Vox amplifiers in a compact format with their signature build quality.

Using Carl Martin's proprietary DC/DC converter, the AC-Tone runs internally at +/-12V despite accepting standard 9V power, providing the headroom and dynamics of their larger Pro Series pedals. The Cut control acts as a low-pass filter to tame high frequencies.

With Drive, Level, and Cut controls, the AC-Tone delivers everything from light crunch to full overdrive with loads of sustain. The top-mounted jacks save pedalboard space. It excels at delivering that British chime and shimmer associated with classic Vox tones.
