Icarus V2

The Caroline Guitar Company Icarus V2 expands on the original Icarus concept with dual gain stages and a hybrid clipping circuit. It goes from transparent boost to expressive overdrive while maintaining signal integrity.

The first stage delivers clean, full-response boost, while the second stage introduces a mix of silicon and Russian germanium diodes for colorful, light-to-medium overdrive. Up to +12dB of clean boost is available from the second stage alone.

Controls include Gain, Highs, and Output. An internal switch toggles between buffered and true bypass operation. The Icarus V2 inherits its preamp heritage from the Parabola and Meteore, running elegantly at 9VDC.
