Somersault
Lo-fi chorus/vibrato/faux-rotary with square and triangle wave LFOs and Havoc switch.
The Caroline Guitar Company Somersault is a chorus/vibrato/faux-rotary inspired by malfunctioning 1980s arcade cabinets. It produces sounds from seasick wobbles to glitchy bleep-bloops using both digital and analog circuits.
Two LFO waveforms are available: classic Triangle for smooth modulation and Square for pulsing, glitchy effects. The Tone selector offers standard and dark voicing options. Offset, Speed, Depth, and Mix controls shape the modulation.
The Havoc button momentarily pushes speed to maximum for instant warping effects. Like the Kilobyte and Meteore, the wet signal uses a digital chip while gain staging, LFO, and mixing remain analog. Hand-built in Columbia, SC.
