Bicycle Delay
Psychedelic digital delay with octave shifts, pitch-bent repeats, and two internal amp voicings.
The Catalinbread Bicycle Delay is named after an Albert Hofmann moment, and it sounds like one. Five unconventionally named controls govern the chaos: Reflect sets repeats from single slapback to infinite feedback, Radiance filters the repeats from dark to bright, Mood controls pitch shift direction and velocity, Lucidity adds clarity or murkiness, and Expanse sets the wet/dry mix.
The Mood knob is where things get strange. It bends the pitch of repeats up or down, creating octave-shifted trails, ring mod textures, and lo-fi bitcrushed oscillation that no conventional delay attempts. Two internal voicings (Super Lead and Super Bass) are switchable via a slider inside the enclosure, and a presence trimpot fine-tunes the high treble.
The Bicycle goes from usable standard delays to complete sonic hallucinations. It's built for players who think delay should be a creative instrument, not just a repeat machine. Runs on 9-18V DC.
