Echorec
Binson Echorec drum delay emulation with 12 head combinations and extended delay time.
The Catalinbread Echorec digitally recreates the legendary Binson Echorec 2 drum delay that defined Pink Floyd's sound. Dr. Bonfiglio Bini's original drum machines used rotating discs rather than tape for their distinctive echo.
Where the original maxed at 300ms, the Catalinbread version extends to 1000ms while providing all 12 playback head combinations. The Swell control creates the famous Echorec swirl; Program Select chooses head patterns; Tone adjusts repeat character.
Internal controls set buffer/trails bypass mode, modulation depth, and preamp gain. Requires 9-18V DC power (no battery). The Echorec captures Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin tones at a fraction of the $5000+ vintage units command.
