CXM 1978
Lexicon 224 in a pedal. Meris collab with motorized faders, 30 presets, and studio-grade algorithms.
The CXM 1978 recreates the legendary Lexicon 224 studio reverb (introduced in 1978) in collaboration with Meris. Part of Chase Bliss's Automatone series, it features motorized faders that physically respond to preset changes and external control signals.
Algorithms span the full range of the original 224's character, from tight rooms to infinite washes. The interface mirrors the original's real-time parameter control philosophy, making it as much a performance instrument as an effect.
30 internal presets, full MIDI/CV/expression control. Buffered bypass with analog dry-through. Stereo I/O. Released 2020. 500mA at 9V DC center-negative.
