Chase Bliss
Generation Loss
Lo-Fi
VHS tape degradation in a pedal. Cooper FX collab that simulates worn magnetic tape with pitch wobble and noise.
Originally developed with Cooper FX (Tom Majeski), the Generation Loss simulates the sound of audio deteriorating on magnetic tape. VHS tracking errors, pitch wobble, hiss, and frequency loss combine to create convincingly lo-fi textures.
Controls shape the type and severity of degradation, from subtle tape warmth to extreme VCR malfunction. Chase Bliss's digital control adds preset recall and MIDI to what started as a much simpler Cooper FX design.
Two onboard presets, full MIDI/expression/CV control. Now discontinued. 9V DC center-negative, ~250mA.
