Preamp MKII
Benson Amps collab with motorized faders. FET drive, two fuzz types, parametric EQ. The Automatone flagship.
The Preamp MKII, developed with Benson Amps, substitutes FET transistors for the 12AX7 triode stages in a Chimera tube amp, delivering extremely responsive breakup with rich harmonics. Part of Chase Bliss's Automatone series with motorized faders.
Variable diode clipping (transistor, silicon, germanium) and two fuzz modes (open and gated) cover everything from transparent preamp to sputtering fuzz. A resonant parametric midrange section with routable frequency adds surgical EQ control.
30 internal presets, full MIDI/CV/expression control. Motorized faders respond to preset changes. True bypass. All-analog signal path. Announced NAMM 2019. Discontinued. 500mA at 9V DC center-negative.
