Black Hole Symmetry

Collision Devices is a French pedal builder creating ambient and experimental effects, with all products designed, assembled, and tested by hand in their workshop. Their cosmic-themed designs are renowned in shoegaze and ambient music communities.

The Black Hole Symmetry is a three-effect pedal named after parts of a black hole. The Ergosphere (modulated delay) uses a PT2399 chip with dual oscillators for warm, modulated echo up to 1 second. The Event Horizon (pitch-shifted reverb) uses an FV1 chip for long reverb with harmonizing pitch shift up to a fifth. The Singularity (destruction fuzz) adds huge, raw fuzz via a single Disintegrate control.

Each effect can be played together or separately with individual mix controls. The Ergosphere offers Time, Feedback, Speed, and Modulation controls. The Event Horizon provides reverb decay approaching infinity at highest settings. All three sections combine for otherworldly shoegaze textures.
