Space Charged V2

The Space Charged V2 builds on the original's warm tube character by adding dedicated gain and volume boost functions for lead work. At its core is a 12AY7 vacuum tube driven by an internal voltage multiplier that steps the standard 9V input up to 40V for authentic tube operating conditions, delivering the touch sensitivity and harmonic richness of a real tube preamp.

Controls include Gain, Tone, and Volume for the main overdrive section, plus separate Boost Gain and Boost Volume controls activated by a second footswitch. The updated tone control offers a wider range than the V1 with access to brighter voicings, while a Tight/Fat switch shapes the low-frequency response before the gain stages.

The 12AY7 tube is user-swappable with 12AX7, 12AT7, 12AU7, or 5751 dual triodes for varied gain and color characteristics. Two footswitches provide independent bypass and boost engagement.
