The Stardust captures American Blackface amplifier character in a simple three-knob format. Hand-built in Athens, Greece, the circuit delivers rich overtones and dynamic touch sensitivity that responds naturally to picking intensity and guitar volume changes -- rolling back cleans up to sparkling clarity.

The Tone control sweeps from warm, dark blues crunch to clear-sounding drive, while the Gain knob ranges from light breakup to saturated overdrive. Running on 9V draws just 3.4mA, but an 18V supply is recommended for extra headroom and responsiveness. Essentially a stripped-down predecessor to the three-voice Stardust mkIII.

With its low current draw and battery-friendly design, the Stardust is one of the simplest and most direct overdrives in the Crazy Tube Circuits lineup.
