1968
Fuzzrite-inspired fuzz with tweaked frequency response and harder transistor gating. 4mA draw.
Dead Bug Circuits is a small-batch boutique builder in Toledo, Ohio, where Zak hand-assembles every pedal. The name references the "deadbug" soldering technique used in DIY electronics.
The 1968 takes the Mosrite Fuzzrite circuit as a starting point but isn't an exact clone. The circuitry has been tweaked for increased frequency response, a harder gate on the transistors, and boosted output to allow unity gain (or more) across the entire sweep of the balance control. Also available in a Super Fuzz variant.
Controls include Volume and Fuzz knobs. Runs on standard 9V DC center-negative power at 4mA.
