The Reverend

The Reverend recreates the sought-after Bixonic Expandora EXP-2000, a Japanese boutique classic used by Billy Gibbons for his signature ZZ Top sound, plus Joe Satriani, Megadeth, and Slipknot.

The Expandora was an evolved ProCo RAT with an 'expander' circuit making it dynamically sensitive—distortion varies with pick attack and guitar volume. This touch-responsive character set it apart from standard dirt pedals.

Part-for-part replica using NOS RN2206 transistor, JRC4558DD op-amp, OP07 chips, and H11F1 optocoupler, combining the best characteristics from all three original Expandora versions. Hand-built in Barcelona with Decibelics' exacting component standards.
