Spidola
Dual-stage fuzz splitting signal through germanium treble and silicon bass circuits.
Demedash Effects is a one-person operation run by Steve Fava out of Winnipeg, Canada, known for innovative designs that blend analog warmth with modern functionality.
The Spidola takes a unique approach to fuzz by splitting your signal into two parallel paths: a vintage germanium transistor handling the high-mids, and a silicon diode overdrive handling the lows. The germanium transistors are hand-selected from sealed 1970s-80s stock.
Because the germanium stage isn't responsible for boosting your signal—just coloring the highs—its temperature sensitivity becomes irrelevant. An internal 18V charge pump ensures maximum headroom from the input booster, which sets overall gain before the signal splits.
