DigiTech, founded in 1984 in Utah, pioneered digital effects processing and became synonymous with pitch-shifting through the Whammy series introduced in 1989.

The Bad Monkey delivers classic tube-style overdrive with Low and High EQ controls for tonal flexibility. A dedicated Mixer Output with speaker simulation allows direct connection to PA or recording interface.

Simple controls—Level, Low, High, and Gain—make dialing in tones quick. The circuit runs on 9V battery or adapter, drawing just 17mA for exceptional battery life. A cult favorite for its quality-to-price ratio.
