Phreak

The Phreak from Dr Scientist is a ring modulator pedal that balances experimental sound design with musical usability. While it can certainly produce the weird, atonal sounds ring modulators are known for, the Phreak is designed to also deliver tones that work in a musical context.

Ring modulation multiplies your input signal with a carrier frequency, creating sum and difference frequencies that can range from subtle tremolo-like effects to completely alien textures. The Phreak gives you extensive control over these parameters.
