Secret Sauce
Steve Albini's Harmonic Percolator tribute with NOS Soviet germanium transistors and pickup simulator.
Drunk Beaver is a Polish pedal company founded by Ukrainian builder Vitalii Bobrov, specializing in recreations of rare and iconic circuits with NOS components.
The Secret Sauce pays tribute to the Interfax Harmonic Percolator made famous by Steve Albini. The unique transistor configuration pairs NOS Soviet Ge 1T320B (military-grade) with Si BC307, plus NOS GT404B germanium. A toggle selects between germanium and silicon transistor voicings. Selectable diode clipping (NOS Soviet D311 germanium or BAT85 silicon) adds another layer of tonal variety.
Harmonics controls fuzz gain, Output sets the level, Compression regulates how much signal hits the clipping diodes, and Symmetry adjusts between symmetric and asymmetric clipping. A buffered pickup simulator preserves tone regardless of chain position. Draws just 4mA from 9V DC center-negative.
