EarthQuaker Devices collaborated with Wata of Boris to recreate her personal Elk BM Sustainar. The Elk was an early 1970s Japanese clone of the triangle Big Muff. The circuit produces heavy distortion with smooth sustain and underlying grit. Speakers sound like they're about to tear apart, but clarity remains. The Tone control dramatically changes character from bass-heavy to cutting treble. Volume, Sustain, and Tone controls. Responds well to different pickup types. Power chords sound huge, single notes sustain endlessly. Works equally well on bass guitar. Built to Wata's specs
