EHX Tortion

Electro-Harmonix built the EHX Tortion around JFET transistors for distortion with tube-like qualities. Wide gain range and multiple voices.

The JFET circuit provides harmonic content similar to tube distortion. Voice switch changes the character between tighter and more open sounds. Gain covers light overdrive through heavy distortion.

Tone, Bias, and Volume controls shape the sound. The Bias knob adjusts the JFET operating point for different clipping textures.
