Halberd

Electronic Audio Experiments built the Halberd around discrete transistors rather than op-amps, chasing the dynamic response of a tube amplifier. The result is one of the most touch-sensitive overdrives on the market.

Three voice modes via toggle: Voice 1 is tight and focused for lead work, Voice 2 opens up the low end for rhythm, Voice 3 scoops the mids for a more modern sound. Each voice responds differently to pick attack and guitar volume.

The Drive control goes from clean boost to full saturation, but the real magic is in the in-between settings where the circuit breathes with your playing. Roll back your guitar volume and it cleans up naturally.
