The Drifter Delay
Wild delay with light-sensitive rate control via LDR. Includes USB-powered LED lamp for expressive manipulation.
Floating Forest Pedals placed 2nd in the 2017 Stompbox Exhibit "Best Emerging Pedal Manufacturer" contest. The Drifter showcases their experimental approach to effects design.
The Drifter is a somewhat wild delay pedal. Standard Mix and Rate controls provide traditional operation, but the magic happens with the light-dependent resistor (LDR) on the pedal face.
Engage the right stomp switch and the delay rate responds to light hitting the LDR. A USB mount powers an included LED lamp, and an internal flasher circuit (controlled by a dedicated knob) modulates the light for rhythmic, expressive delay manipulation. The middle switch triggers a temporary swell effect.
Point-to-point wired on perfboard with Switchcraft jacks. True bypass. Every Drifter comes with a compatible USB light.
