FM3
Compact Axe-Fx III floor unit. Three capacitive footswitches, onboard expression, XLR outs, headphones. 7 lbs.
The smallest Fractal floor modeler running Axe-Fx III algorithms. Three capacitive footswitches, an 800x480 color LCD, and a 4x12 layout grid. Powered by a 3-core Griffin DSP (ARM + two SHARC+ cores). The Mark II Turbo bumps the clock from 450MHz to 500MHz for 11% more headroom.
XLR balanced main output, 1/4" second output, headphone jack, balanced TRS second input, S/PDIF out, 5-pin MIDI in/out, USB Type B (4x4 audio at 48kHz), FASLINK II for up to two FC controllers, and two expression/switch inputs. 24-bit/48kHz converters with 114 dB dynamic range. Under 40W power draw via standard IEC cable.
Announced April 2019. Same amp modeling core as the Axe-Fx III but with one amp block (vs. two on the FM9). Delays share a DSP core with amp modeling, so complex presets may need some juggling. At 11.1" x 9.3" and 7 lbs, it fits on a pedalboard alongside traditional pedals.
