The Lo-Tone Classic Fuzz uses a hybrid circuit combining germanium diodes for soft-knee clipping with MPSA18 high-gain transistors and an LM386 power amplifier used as an op-amp.

Three controls: Fuzz (gain amount), Tone (tonal shaping), and Volume (output level). First two stages derive from Muff topology, then replace later stages with the LM386 for a unique character. Boosts bottom end significantly.

Originally designed for bass but works well on guitar. True bypass. Beige enamel finish with red LED and red knobs. Handmade in Brooklyn.
