Brain Damage
Distortion with built-in Class A unity-gain buffer preamp. Fights tone suck on long runs.
FTelettronica is an Italian one-man shop in Isola del Liri, founded in 2008. They build faithful clones of rare and discontinued effects, using Alpha pots, Neutrik/Lumberg jacks, and a 2-year warranty.
The Brain Damage pairs a distortion circuit with a unity-gain Class A buffer preamp designed to drive long cable runs without signal degradation. At 236g in the compact 117x71mm format with adhesive-on-aluminum finish.
The integrated buffer is a thoughtful addition. Most dirt pedals don't address what happens to your signal after them, but if you're running long cable lengths to your amp this solves a real problem.
