HeadRush emerged from Avid's Eleven Rack technology, rebuilding and enhancing that foundation into modern touchscreen-based modelers. The MX5 brings the core experience to a backpack-friendly format.
The MX5 packs the full 52 amp models, 15 cab models with 10 mic emulations, and 74+ premium effects into a compact unit weighing just 3.5 lbs. Three footswitches and a built-in expression pedal provide hands-on control.
The 4-inch touchscreen handles preset editing and signal chain configuration. Gapless switching preserves reverb and delay tails. Stereo outputs switch between amp and line level. Looper provides 5 minutes per loop with 20 minutes total. External expression input, stereo FX loop, and MIDI via 1/8" adapters. USB audio interface capability.
