Filter Fuzz MKII
Hand-wired 60s-style fuzz with three low-cut filters. Inspired by Grand Funk's Musicraft Messenger tones.
Hiwatt Custom Shop creates tone-obsessed takes on classic circuits, designed through collaboration of their heavyweight builders.
The Filter Fuzz MKII is an old-school analog fuzz with extended gain and frequency range. Inspired by the 1969 tones produced when a Musicraft Messenger guitar met a Heathkit Fuzz on Grand Funk's debut album.
The three-position rotary filter switch engages hand-selected low-cut filters for parked-wah, punchy, lo-fi vibes. Filter interacts heavily with Master and Fuzz controls, creating spit, zip, gating, and octave-like responses. The Thick knob shapes low-frequency response pre-gain.
Hand-wired and made to order in limited quantities. Originally released exclusively on Reverb with only 201 units. True bypass.
