Wallflower
All-in-one shoegaze machine: two reverbs, two chorus modes, low-pass filter, and distortion in one box.
Hungry Robot's Wallflower distills the essential elements of shoegaze into a single pedal. Five effects work together to create that signature wall of ethereal, distorted ambience: a two-mode chorus (Chorale), a moody low-pass filter (Hollow), a long-decay pad reverb (Bloom), an octave-up-and-down reverb (Layer), and a massive end-of-chain distortion (Growth).
Each effect gets its own dedicated knob, and two footswitches handle effect bypass and distortion independently. The layout encourages stacking everything together for maximum wash, but you can dial back individual elements for subtler textures.
Released in 2025 as a very limited run at $150, the Wallflower marked a transitional moment for Hungry Robot as the brand evolved into its next phase. Most units sold out immediately, making it an instant collector's piece for the shoegaze faithful.
