TS-10 Tube Screamer
1986-1993 budget Tube Screamer with plastic case and different op-amp. Same core circuit, acquired cult following.
Ibanez is a Japanese guitar and accessory manufacturer owned by Hoshino Gakki. The Tube Screamer was designed by Susumu Tamura at Maxon in 1979 and became the most influential overdrive pedal in history.
The TS-10 was produced 1986-1993 as a more affordable Tube Screamer. It uses a plastic enclosure and different op-amp (JRC2043DD or TA75558P depending on production run), but maintains the core Tube Screamer circuit topology.
Though considered the "lesser" Tube Screamer, it has developed its own following. Some players prefer its slightly different voicing. Used by John Mayer early in his career. Prices have risen as vintage examples become scarce.
