System-46
PLL synth: analog VCO locks to your input for ring mod, octaves, and full system destruction.
Industrialectric builds uncompromising noise machines in Toronto, Canada. The System-46 is their flagship PLL (phase-locked loop) synthesizer, evolved from the 4046-M with expanded waveshaping and gnarlier tones.
An analog VCO locks to your input signal, producing ring modulation, octave effects, and harmonic textures. Single or dual harmonic voice modes feed through dual amplifiers. The Lock control sets how tightly the VCO tracks your input, from snappy to chaotic. Release shapes amplitude decay.
Two separate waveshapers with LDR control add filtering and distortion. The Hyper ringmodulator, Pulser tremolo, and System Stability control let you push from musical to full system destruction. A Disconnect function turns it into a standalone chaos synth.
At 7x7x2 inches, it is large but justified by the depth of control. Favored by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for their soundtracks.
