Belle Starr
Drew Shirley signature MOSFET overdrive. Low-wattage tube amp breakup with active Bass EQ and passive Tone.
Jackson Audio builds premium effects in Fort Worth, Texas, combining analog circuits with digital control features like MIDI and presets. Their collaboration-driven approach has produced signature pedals with Joey Landreth, Cory Wong, and Mateus Asato.
The Belle Starr was designed with Switchfoot guitarist Drew Shirley to capture his small tube amp tones. Unlike Tube Screamer-style pedals, it uses MOSFET transistors for natural amp-like breakup without the mid hump.
Four knobs: Gain, Body (active bass EQ with ±15dB), Tone (passive treble cut like a Vox), and Volume. Runs 9-18V for extra headroom. Stainless steel enclosure with true bypass switching.
