Moonshine V2

JHS designed the Moonshine as the anti-transparent overdrive. Where the Morning Glory enhances your amp without coloring, the Moonshine adds substantial midrange personality and saturation. It's not subtle—it shapes and creates unique mid-heavy tones across blues, rock, country, jazz, and heavy music.

Version 2 keeps the original circuit but adds a Clean knob to blend unaffected signal with the overdrive. This addition gives you flexibility to dial back the character when needed. The Proof toggle switches between two distinct voices: down delivers maximum gain with saturation and pronounced midrange, up provides more defined, open tones with increased headroom.

The circuit runs a charge pump converting 9V to internal 18V for expanded headroom, enhanced low-frequency response, and increased dynamic punch. At 30mA draw, efficient for 18V operation.
