NOTAKLÖN

JHS designed the NOTAKLÖN as a DIY kit based on the Shamrock modification Scott performed on Klon KTR pedals for years. Released in 2024 at $99, the solderless assembly democratizes Klon Centaur character without requiring four-figure vintage units or soldering skills.

The Gain control spans +16dB of clean boost (fully left) through maximum overdrive (fully right), maintaining the transparent character that made the original legendary. The Shamrock Mod switch adds +4dB of gain with increased midrange and an additional hard-edge clipping stage, pushing the circuit beyond stock Klon territory. The pedal internally converts 9V to 18V for headroom and dynamics. Demand has created persistent waitlists since launch.
