Filth
Germanium fuzz with voltage-starving sliders. Four controls including unique transistor bias manipulation.
Joe Gore expanded on the Cult's dynamic germanium character with the Filth, adding controls that let you manipulate the pedal's internal voltages for wild tonal variations. Two large sliders alter transistor voltages for everything from smooth overdrive to sputtering, dying-battery chaos.
Like the Cult, the Filth boosts dynamics rather than squashing them—unusual for a fuzz pedal. Richard Fortus (Guns N' Roses, Dead Daisies) praised all of Gore's pedals as "hugely inspirational," and the Filth's unique control scheme opens creative doors.
Level and Drive knobs handle volume and gain. The two sliders starve or feed voltage to the transistors, creating sounds from conventional to completely unhinged. Built in San Francisco with germanium transistors selected for musical response.
