Acid Tone
Modern take on the vintage Jordan Boss Tone. Germanium fuzz that plugged directly into your guitar jack.
Jordan Electronics pivoted from Geiger counters and Cold War instruments to guitar effects in 1967, debuting the Boss Tone at the NAMM show. The Acid Tone carries on that legacy with a modern interpretation of the original circuit's aggressive, cutting fuzz character.
The vintage Boss Tones were tiny units that plugged directly into the guitar jack—revolutionary for their time and used by everyone from Randy California to Billy Gibbons. The tonal variations between Alhambra, Pasadena, and Nashville factory units became legendary among collectors.
This modern version delivers the buzzy, trebly character of the originals in a more practical pedalboard format. The simple two-transistor circuit produces paper-shredding fuzz that cuts through any mix with samurai precision.
