LastGasp Art Laboratories was founded by Hirofumi Uchino in Tokyo in 1992, with roots in the experimental noise scene. After relocating to Sydney, Australia in 2005, Hiro rebuilt the entire production line from scratch, creating wildly unconventional effects championed by noise and experimental artists worldwide.

The Deviltail Deathtortion is a very high-gain distortion pedal capable of everything from medium crunch to blistering saturation. A three-band EQ (low, mid, high) mounted on the rear panel lets you dial in your tone once and leave it, keeping the front panel clean for performance adjustments.

Level and Gain controls on the front provide real-time adjustment. The Gain knob features 13 positions, with settings 11-13 entering the 'Hell' zone of maximum saturation. The Deviltail shares DNA with the Lluna fuzz, offering similarly cutting sear but with a thicker, more percussive distortion character suited to heavy styles.
