The Medusa is a grinding death metal distortion from Lichtlaerm Audio, based on the Boss HM-2 circuit that defined the Swedish death metal sound.

Gain and Level set drive and output. Cut shapes the pre-gain high-pass filter. Low, Mid (parametric 200-700Hz via Mid-Freq), Grind (dual mid peak), and Presence (+/-16dB shelving) provide comprehensive EQ. Modern/Classic switch selects between two gain stage voicings. Blend mixes clean signal 0-100%.

Built-in Blackmer-VCA noise gate with dedicated Gate control. Parallel FX loop with polarity switch for phase inversion. 9V DC center-negative. SmartRelay switching. Handmade in Berlin.
