DL4 Delay
The legendary green delay modeler. 16 delay models, looper, and the sound of every rock record from the 2000s.
If you listened to rock music in the 2000s, this pedal is burned into your brain. Line 6 released the DL4 in 1999 and it became ubiquitous on professional pedalboards within a few years. Sixteen delay models cover everything from Echoplex tape echo to Memory Man analog warmth to TC 2290 digital precision.
The 14-second looper turned countless bedroom players into one-man bands. Half-speed and reverse modes opened up sonic adventures that defined post-rock and ambient music. Three user presets plus tap tempo make it gig-ready.
Switch and knob durability became a running joke, spawning a cottage industry of mods. But players kept buying them because nothing else sounded quite like it. One of the most influential digital pedals ever made.
