Little Green Wonder

The Little Green Wonder is often called "the Tube Screamer for people who hate Tube Screamers." Björn Juhl took the TS topology and removed the divisive mid-hump and low-end cut, resulting in a more natural frequency spread with fuller bass response.

Three controls: Volume, Drive, and the unique Body knob that sets the frequency range of distortion. Turn Body counterclockwise for more bass and low-mids with slight treble boost; clockwise for subtle treble increase. This flexibility makes it work with complex overdriven amp sounds.

High headroom design maintains dynamics even at higher gain settings. The circuit feels more open and less compressed than traditional Tube Screamers while retaining their smooth saturation character. Works well as a standalone overdrive or stacked with other pedals.

Available in both PCB and hand-wired versions, the latter built in Finland. The Green Wonder (updated version) adds separate Bass and Treble controls for even more tone shaping.
