Simble Overdrive

The Simble Overdrive captures Dumble amp characteristics, designed by Finnish engineer Lassi Ukkonen. The circuit is a Zen Drive variant using a TLC2272 op-amp and BAT41 diodes throughout, producing touch-sensitive overdrive in the Robben Ford and Larry Carlton territory.

Four controls: Level sets output, Sensitivity adjusts gain and compression, Contour shapes tone with unity at noon, and Accent controls brightness and pick attack response. The circuit mixes vintage amp compression with high-gain bite.

Touch sensitivity responds to every nuance of pick attack and guitar volume. Current draw is approximately 10mA. Runs on standard 9V with center-negative polarity. True bypass. Now discontinued, succeeded by the Mk2.
