The Amp 50
A real 50W amplifier that weighs 2.5 lbs. 12AX7 tube preamp, Class D power section, onboard reverb and tremolo.
Not a preamp pedal, not an amp simulator — an actual amplifier that drives a speaker cabinet. The Amp packs a 12AX7 tube preamp running at high voltage in a discrete Class A circuit into a pedal-sized enclosure, paired with a Class D power section delivering 25W at 16Ω, 50W at 8Ω, or 100W at 4Ω. It weighs 2.5 pounds.
Pick attack feels immediate but the dynamics, compression, and harmonic complexity come from the tube preamp stage. Onboard reverb and tremolo with dedicated bypass footswitches mean it works as a complete grab-and-go amplifier. The Speakon combo jack accepts standard 1/4" or locking Speakon connections. Additional outputs include balanced XLR for direct recording, pedal-level send for use as a pedalboard front-end, and a headphone amp that mirrors the speaker output.
Premier Guitar noted it excels at clean and modulated tones rather than cranked tube breakup — the Class D power section stays clean while the 12AX7 provides the character. Universal IEC power (100-260 VAC). 8.5" x 3" x 6.5". Handmade in San Francisco.
