The D250X recreates the DOD 250's simple but effective overdrive circuit. The 250 shares DNA with the MXR Distortion+, both using op-amp clipping for harmonically rich drive.

Two knobs: Gain and Level keep operation simple. The circuit adds harmonic content and sustain while remaining responsive to playing dynamics. The 250 found fans across rock and punk.

The DOD 250 predates the Tube Screamer and offers different character: more open, less mid-focused. The D250X provides that classic sound affordably.
