The LM741 Preamp uses the classic LM741 operational amplifier for preamp overdrive. The 741 defined early overdrive pedals including the Distortion+ and DOD 250.
Gain and level controls shape the op-amp overdrive. The 741 provides harmonically rich clipping that responds to playing dynamics.
