The Cestus Treble Booster uses a hand-selected NOS silicon 2N2222A transistor—military spec components known for consistency without temperature fluctuations that plagued germanium designs. The circuit centers around a selectable input capacitor via a three-way toggle switch for tonal versatility.

Toggle centered position delivers classic treble boost—the Brian May and Tony Iommi sound. Flip it up for mid-range emphasis when you need presence without brightness. Down position provides bass-heavy tone for fuller-bodied drive. The SET knob adjusts output level across a wide range, from subtle re-voicing to significant amplification. Internal bias trimmer lets you fine-tune response.
